Memorial Day is a day set aside to remember and honor those who have fought for our country and have given the ultimate sacrifice.  As a national holiday, it is a day many people have off from work, and the day has become the unofficial start of the summer season.  While it’s important to take a moment or two to honor our soldiers and veterans on this patriotic holiday, Memorial Day is also the perfect opportunity to savor your own outdoor oasis, whether alone or with others.

One of the most common rituals on this holiday is the outdoor barbecue.  Many Americans flock to their backyards, or those of family or friends, to enjoy some delicious fare al fresco, while also sharing good company.  If you are the host at this year’s festivities and you have an outdoor kitchen, your guests are likely to be in for a treat.  Of course, most people with this type of set-up have the all-essential outdoor grill or barbecue to cook on.  But outdoor kitchens can be much more elaborate than that, incorporating other amenities such as bar areas, food prep and storage, other appliances, as well as attractive and comfortable areas for dining and entertaining.
